One should hop on the train to the city during morning rush hour and you can see the true colours of fellow Singaporean/foreigners/residents.
NO ONE will offer you their precious seat eventhough they see a pregnant woman, and old man/woman coming through the door. NO ONE.
I'd been taking the train to work most of the time for the past 5 months and no one offered me their seats, except ONE kind lady. Once in 5 months. How sad is that? All they do is stare at your growing stomach and continue sitting, or in some cases, shut their eyes and pretend they are sleeping.
This morning, as I was travelling on the train to work, I had to stand all the way (as usual). There were 2 healthy human beings took the seat right below my nose and pretended that it was ok for a pregnant woman to stand and they sit down with their novels. They even had the cheek to stare at my stomach, and continue reading their interesting novels once they were done staring. How rude. I will wait for the day to come when they get pregnant and no one offer them a seat. It's not easy carrying a 10kg 'waterbag' with you all the time, with occasional leg cramps and backaches. I wanted to sit on the floor right in front of the two idiots this morning coz I had leg cramps and see their reactions.
I CAN'T STAND IT and I have to endure this every morning and evening.
Can you believe it if I tell you I'm sleepy at 10.30am when I'm supposed to be 'on' at work and paying full attention to whatever I'm doing and not sitting in front of my computer, staring at the screen and not knowing what I'm doing?
I'm dying....very slowly and painfully, I might add.
This is very sad.
I'm so amazed to find all sorts of nice designer looking baby products in the market. Even though all these are a splurge for new parents, but they are worth it. :) Aih...what I love most is the Bloom Coco Plexistyle Rocker, Love At First Sight.
Bloom - Coco Stylewood - Cappuccino - Coconut White US$200
Boon - Flair US$219.99
Bloom - Fresco - Frost Grey US$400
Svan - High Chair - Espresso US$259.99
